Need a house sitter to take care of the mangy kids for you? Get a maester!
Need someone to get your house finances in order? Get a maester!
Need a walking talking encyclopedia? Get a maester!
Need someone to help you win an election? ALSO A MAESTER! (LOOK AT JON SNOW, AEMON JUST DROPPED THE EXTRA VOTE, NO FUCKS GIVEN, BET HILLARY WISHED SHE HAD A MAESTER!)
Now some of you must be on the fence, "but Travis, armies are cool, big strong characters who can trample over weak old maesters." or "but Knights are way cooler Travis, they have renown, they have a fancy rose and they break the social stigma of same gender relationships!"
Yes those are valid arguments however......
Armies are only as strong as the leaders who lead them, and who leads the leader in the shadows? His goddamn Maester that's who. Look at the dothraki army, if they had a maester instead of a sheep witch, their khal would still be alive to mount the world.
And knights, who do you think beat the shit out of them and taught them when they were kids? Maesters! Yea sure there are a few who are not as fortunate to have maesters growing up, but after they became knights, it's maesters who mend them back up after they've fucked up on the battlefield.
Not convinced yet? There is always someone like Qyburn an ex-maester who can stir more violent shit up for you army/knight lovers. Plenty of violence to spread around with maesters!
TLDR;
Maesters are awesome, they can pretty much do everything and more, and all the armies and knights shall fall before them. The penis mightier then the sword.
And besides, winning your opponent with a bunch of maesters is possibly the most awesome troll feeling ever.
And that is why i will be voting for Maesters and you should too!
